Applying Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) in Judicial Expertise.

EDA is an approach used in data analysis in which, given a set of data of interest, looking to present the main characteristics of this set, often through visual methods (graphs). The EDA is a way used to analyze and investigate data. The data extraction and analysis seek to show facts/events recorded at a given moment in time of a given problem domain. Descriptive statistics techniques also are used in data exploration to quantify the data and its characteristics.

In legal proceedings, an attempt is made to understand the issues involved in these processes through data, which can reveal facts or trends of a given issue in objective and quantitative ways. However, having the data is not enough, it is necessary to apply the EDA directly and obtain the necessary answers that may favor the elucidation of conflict of interests, for example.
